Thanks Laura for the insightful article.I have noticed on numerous occasions that the exception scenarios brushed off by business users turn into requirement misses and potentially limitations of the solution. Highlighting these assumptions clearly in the requirements has been also a key takeaway for me.

Very practical and good information for Business Analyst.I just wanted to add the below:
We should always prepare the developer for change but not encourage the user for change request, then only they think seriously and BA potential skills can be implemented.
